Kaabo Skywalker Performance
Acceleration is quick to 25kmh is under 4 sec and then braking distance from 25kmh is 2.8m, with a top speed in real-world terms 51kmh. Book range is 90km but considering rider weight and other variables its more likely around 40-50km.
Though definitely not in the same category as the high end dual electric motor scooters, the Skywalker 10S, with its single 1200w motor, is a quick, comfortable cruising scooter. It will outperform is brother the Kaabo Mantis single gear easily
This ends up being a very comparable performance to the Inokim OX. Though the Inokim OX is more linear in its acceleration at the lower end. The Skywalker 10S has steady acceleration all the way up to its max speed of 51kmh. Its performance on the hill climb is solid, but not overwhelming. To put this into context, the Kaabo Skywalker should be able to handle most of our Australian hills though it may slow to a crawl up 15% grade or more.
Range
The Skywalker packs a 60v 234ah battery that gets you approx. 40-50km max range ridden at maximum speed, it doesn't however have a LG Battery which are at this point in time the preferred.Braking
The Kaabo Skywalker had a remarkable 2.8m braking distance at 25kmh. This is one of the best electric scooters in terms of braking, it uses a dual mechanical disc brakes with Zoom-branded calipers. The rear has a good size 152 mm ventilated disc, and the front features a 120 mm disc. The brakes are great all-around. They are easily adjustable, and the only noticeable negative was that the calipers were a little squeaky — particularly under strong braking.
Ride quality
Ride quality is what you would expect thanks to the front and rear dual suspension and 10-inch pneumatic tires. The suspension and tires are good enough for most roads between home and work. Though the rear shocks / suspension isn’t quite as good as the Zero 10X or Inokim OX and Inokim OXO.
The front suspension has dual springs that are quite stiff. The rear shocks are dual air shocks. Overall the suspension is well-balanced and has a medium level of stiffness.

Portability
Coming in at 25kg, the Skywalker 10S is not really portable. However, it has a folding telescoping stem and folding handlebars which we consider a plus. These mechanisms help it collapse into a small form factor for storing or transportation.
The handlebars fold and unfold quickly via a sliding collar mechanism. When unfolded, the handlebars are stable and have little play The stem folding mechanism is solid and exhibits none of the dreaded “stem wobble” we’ve experienced on other scooters. The stem folds easily via a single lever and has a plastic safety tab to prevent folding if you inadvertently step on it while riding.
The stem locks into place when folded for one-handed carrying. Picking the unit up from the stem to carry is a little awkward to the balance right.
LCD Display
The Kaabo 10S has unique curved handlebars. The curved handlebars are an interesting feature that makes the grip a little more comfortable but it doesn't make a massive difference to handling or the LCD mount.
The LCD Display has simple controls with a brake lever, horn, and lights on the left side.
On the right side is an additional brake lever and also the trigger-style throttle with a bright colorful LCD display similar to a minimotors trigger throttle (we are seeing more and more of on electric scooters).
Handlebar grips have an ergonomic, tapered shape, and the rubber is average. They are firmly attached to the handlebars and don’t move when riding.
Lights
The 10S has a front light low-mounted LED, a rear red LED, and side LED strip lights. The LED side light strip adds a nice touch. The lights are bright enough to provide some visibility at night, though for frequent riding at night, its recommended a much brighter headlight for improved visibility.
Tires
The Skywalker 10S uses dual 10-inch by 2.6-inch pneumatic CST-branded inner tube tires. They provided traction in wet or dry conditions and contributed to the remarkably short stopping distance.
Deck
The Skywalker deck is nice and has a wrap-around strip of red LED lights, the wrap-around lights are activated by a switch located on the side of the deck. They can be turned off independently of the scooter being powered on.
The deck size is a little small for the size of the electric scooter due to suspension connections that take up some of the deck space.
Build quality
Kaabo initially has some issues around the stem bolts a couple of years ago but all this seems to have been resolved, and now true to the brand, the Skywalker is built with quality. One thing lacking is an IP (water resistance) rating, this becomes a difficult area to rectify, by creating a seal to prevent water in it also creates limitation for cool air to also keep the motors and batteries at operating temp, we see this issue with other brands. The Skywalker 10S may be able to tolerate some inadvertent splashes, there is no guarantee that it's going to survive heavy rain particularly where the deck has some unsealed ports where cables are routed.
